Steele grew up in the Pacific Northwest of Oregon. He moved to Tempe, Arizona in 2011 to attend Arizona State University- Tempe. At the end of his freshman year, Steele dropped out of college, enlisting in the US Army National Guard as a Forward Observer. After completing job training he returned to Arizona in 2013. In October 2013, Steele volunteered for deployment with the 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Bravo Troop 1/82 Cavalry Regiment out of Bend, Oregon.

In 2014, Steele mobilized for deployment to Afghanistan. Bravo Troop was tasked with airbase security and patrol of the surrounding areas of Shindand Airbase. After successfully completing the mission in Shindand, Steele's unit was moved to ISAF HQ in downtown Kabul, Afghanistan, where his unit was tasked with QRF and security. 

After returning from deployment, Steele returned to Oregon and continued his education in Psychology and pre-med. In 2016, Steele packed his truck and dog, and moved to the mountains of Big Sky country in Bozeman, Montana and his finishing his education at Montana State University. You can catch him at the local breweries, hunting, or riding his Harley.
